Designing Learning for the Brain

Most learning experiences aren’t failing because of content—they’re failing because they ignore the system that has to do the learning. This session cuts through the noise and gets straight to the science. Drawing on real cognitive neuroscience, this session translates how the brain works into practical design decisions that inform us on how to use senses, focus, memory, and so much more to create sustainable, transfer.

After attending this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand how attention and focus are key components to the design choices we make.
  • Get a grasp on what memory really is, and what the limitations and design strategies are to working with the systems.
  • See how the brain works for and against us when we're designing for others.
