Effective Instructional Design
with Scott Helphrey
Please come join us to learn the "how to's" of Instructional Design. Whether you already use Instructional Design when developing your training, or whether you are unsure of exactly what that entails, this session is for you. Scott will discuss some basics like the systematic process of Instructional Design, and the use of accepted models and theories. He will also discuss how to use those to achieve strategies, course materials, and assessment techniques that will help you meet the training impact goals of your organization.
Scott Helphrey worked in Higher Education Instructional Design and Technology for 13 years. He led a team engaged in the various disciplines of learning psychology, communication, human performance technology, and their relationship with education. This included an understanding of how people learn, message design and interaction, and instructional strategies, objectives and assessments.
In 2018, after leaving Higher Ed, Scott Helphrey, Inc. was formed in an effort to work with a more diverse client base. Scott is set to complete his master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology in the summer of 2019.
